How'd I do?  I recorded a guy doing Irish folk music tonight; he recorded vocals and guitar all at once as was his preference.

This is just a rough mix of raw tracks; I haven't done anything.

Advice on mixing something like this, including vocal treatment, will be VERY welcome.

Enjoy, this guy is pretty talented.  Did this in 1 take, and I had him do this second because his voice had warmed up.

      The sound quality is excellent, and the playing is also!

    This has a John Denver type of sound to it, and I mean that as a compliment.

    Sounds OK here, just needs a little magic polish.  You got the most important bit a good well performed take.

    As to what to do with it now is probably the tricky question, a little reverb and perhaps a little air on the vox.

    I did a little bit of mixing, very very light compression and just a TAD of IR-1 (Waves) verb on the vocals.  I also did about a +2dB @ ~10K.  Got rid of some of the Plosives by a little crossfading and notching around 50hZ.

    I think there are some sibilants I'd like to smooth out vocal wise; in retrospect, I probably should not have had him sing so close - even with a pop screen, but I REALLY wanted to try and isolate the vocals as much as possible as they were recorded in tandem with the guitar.

    Thoughts?
