Extracting a tempo?

Hi all.

Is it possible to extract a tempo into Sonar as a tempo template to work with... or, it is possible to set the tempo to follow an audio track.

I have a guitar instrumental mp3 file ( Michael Schenker - Captain Nemo) and would like to attempt a cover version of it... problem is the tempo on the original recording is all over the place.

Thanks in advance y'all

Bob

(hope the above makes sense)

Read up on Process/Fit-to-improv in the help or manual.  You'd have to assemble a MIDI click track that follows the mp3 audio track.  Assuming you can do that, the rest is pretty straightforward.
