My neighbor has lost his mind.

just sittin in his car beeping the horn - driving up and down 1o- feet in and out of his parking spot -- a good 10 minutes now

I need patience - 

God God!  That's nearly 1 foot per minute. 

 I feel for you, my insane drunken neighbor lost his house to the bank. When he first moved up here he fancied himself a hunter but his idea of hunting was sitting on his back porch getting drunk and shooting dear in my yard and sending his young nephew down to drag it out of the yard. Another neighbor seen him do it and called the cops on him one day thankfully. For the 5 summers he lived here he never successfully got his grass cut. Each year the same thing. He would wait for the middle of July, then take his tractor in that jungle and break the belt and be genuinely surprised. He would then come down and knock on my door and give me the sob story about how incompetent he was when it comes to mechanics and and needed help. The first year I tried to help him, I wrote the part number of the belt and sent him off to get it...he comes back with the wrong belt because he said the correct one was too expensive. I would have been happier with an autistic schizophrenic as a neighbor. I really only had to deal with him in the summer, he spent his winters in jail for beating his wife.

I suspect it's the economy driving everybody crazy

the economy might pressure a "normal" person to go insane - 

Lew did this type of thing long before the economic crash of 2008 - 

he's just NUTSO - and he just got done checking his mail - 15 times in a row in about 10 minutes  - opens his door - checks the closes his door - open his door checks the mail closes his door - 

the condo mail boxes are right next to my living room door so I can hear him - 

its a perk I get to hear every day - as Lew compulsively checks the mail over and over again 

I should write a song about it - - hey mr postman ?

OCD with life in general

  My neighbors are not too bad really,thankfully so. There were a few incidents though. On one side my neighbors are amish. In the summer the son might decide to fire his shotgun,a real eye opener I tell ya' when your trying to relax on a quiet(otherwise) day. Had a family awhile back with a few teenagers who walked down the road and busted things, my mailbox being one of them. Thank goodness they moved away!
  Now they are building townhouses right down the road from me........let the fun begin.
