Chrome vs Firefox 4 - Anyone else get this?

Just a non-critical mid-afternoon musing...

I sync my Outlook calendar with Google Calendar as a less-expensive way to share my work calendar with my secretary - just a simple ICS link subscription in her Outlook profile.  Why pay for Exchange servers if you don't need all of the bells and whistles?
I needed to redo the ICS link today, so (using Firefox 4) I logged into my Google account, clicked on "Calendar" and immediately got an error message that said the redirect was "badly formed" and would not be able to complete the process.

I thought, no worries, I can just log in from outside my Gmail account, and tried it.  No dice, nor would any of the shortcut links in Gmail (to calendar, documents, etc.) work - same error message.

So, I fire up Chrome... and everything works exactly as intended, and quickly at that.

The conspiracy theorist in me wonders what kinds of games Google and Mozilla are playing with each other at our expense.

Carry on.

I love Chrome. Simple and clean. It just works.
FF was always slow for me and had way too much crap loading.

    Chrome it is.

    Wasn't Firefox called "Memoryleak"?

I don't like Firefox 4.  I accidentally installed it, and then quickly switched back to 3.6   I don't like the "new style" of doing stuff.

I agree. 3.6 is much better. They seem to have X1'd FF 4.0. Plus, 'CacheViewer' doesn't work with 4.0 ;)

Google Chrome is very buggy on my PC's. All of the icons on the forums here are missing so I can't even use it. Same with Internet Explorer 9. It's totally useless on my PC that is running Windows 7 x64 with all updates. It keeps locking up and I can't reply to posts on the forums here.

IE8 and Firefox 3.6 run flawlessly for me.

I like Firefox 4, but then I am a very adaptable person.

I am sure Chrome is excellent, but i don't like the invasion of privacy that comes with it. Some of the way chrome collects data are a bit naughtly from what i heard.

They seem to have X1'd FF 4.0.

I like it - the use of "X1" as a verb, that is.

You could also say they really fukishima'd it up.
