NEW Quickfix is up! Thank you Cake!
Thank you Cakewalk! This is what we like to see! keep em coming! Great work. Tommy Please note that QuickFixes are cumulative, Build 245 includes everything in 244. If you have not yet installed 244 you can skip right to 245 for the latest and greatest. Issues addressed in Build 245 - CWBRN-4306 & 4386: Staff view note duration now behaves correctly when set from the Tools HUD
- CWBRN-3886: Tascam FW-1082 ASIO and 'Play effect tails' will no longer make a loud noise when set to off
- CWBRN-4235: Mp3's can now be previewed at host tempo from the browser
- CWBRN-4368: The default snap setting now behaves correctly for new projects
- CWBRN's 3552, 3943, 4409 & 4419: Vertical scroll position will now stay put when clicking buttons on a track folder
- MIDI echo now works correctly when the input is set to 'none'
- In some cases a MIDI tracks input would change when it became the active track, this is now fixed

I can't install the 245 quick fix. It is shown as a "file" instead of "application" (exe) that 244 quick fix is.

Internet Explorer loses the extension name. Just add ".exe" to the filename and it will work. Firefox, Chrome, etc... does not have this problem.

The QuickFix 245 is some kind of compressed file. I had to uncompress it with 7Zip. It extracted as two folders (X86 and x64) and a ProducerX1QuickFix file. It did install fine, after that, by running the ProducerX1QuickFix as an admin. :) Edit: Or do as codamedia says above (add .exe to the file name.) :)

They work the exact same way, but for some reason Intenet Explorer is not downloading this one properly (well - it downloads fine - just doesn't land with the full name).

just for asking purposes..can you skip a quickfix?..say if you dont need that quickfix but the second one is something your interested in?. i dont want to install any fixes i have no use for.because some of those things on the first quickfix seem to work or dont concern me.ive heard a few others say they had a problem here or there after the quick fix so i want to use as less as possible for the fixes..i am pretty stable

The latest QuickFix includes the fixes of previous QuickFixes. So, you can skip whichever you want, and have the fixes of all the QuickFixes when you install the latest QuickFix.

Download page says that quickfixes are cumulative, i.e. you can skip as many as you want, each one includes all changes of the previous ones, presumably until there's an official version release.

Yes i agree, i think this "new" modern business model is important to keep customers happy and loyal and a wise step for cakewalk, just keep these fixes coming no matter how small or big with out taking to much time, and try to hammer out all the problems till most things are working and stable! Giving props to the Cake Team! Tommy

Just an assumption, but the problem fixed here: - CWBRN-3886: Tascam FW-1082 ASIO and 'Play effect tails' will no longer make a loud noise when set to off
was also reported with the Tascam FW-1884. Since they are similar units, I'm hoping the fix applies to that unit as well?

Note that the installer will prompt you to replace a file dated April 1 with another file dated April 1. I thought this was a mistake and cancelled, until I realized that the file being replaced is a folder already created by the FIRST quick fix. Once you say Yes, then the newest fix files are dated and it's clear what is going on with the rest of the install. And, I still think there should be a different order of the versions and patches on the download screen, or the date of the files should be listed, because you must have X1B installed to use this quick fix.

Noel Borthwick [Cakewalk ] yes it should apply to any drivers that had that problem. fwiw this was really a driver bug which we worked around. Thanks so much, Noel. The patch works fine with my FW-1884. I am not surprised by the problem being caused by the device driver. Tascam was not going to release drivers for Windows 7 until so many of us protested (gently) and Frontier Design came through for us. Even then, the driver was provided begrudgingly by Tascam. Thanks to Cakewalk for going the extra mile here.
