Quickfix b245 - midi problem?

I installed the new Quickfix an hour ago, and since then ALL my MIDI tracks respond to keys being played on my controller keyboard, at the same time. It makes no difference if I select a different MIDI track, all the other MIDI tracks also sound.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Sonar X2 Producer. Focusrite Saffire 6, Fender Strat, black PC for recording and mixing. That is all.

Did they default to "Omni" for their input by any chance? Or is this related to the MIDI Echo function?

The last two bullets in the fixed bug list for 245 say:

  • MIDI echo now works correctly when the input is set to 'none'
  • In some cases a MIDI tracks input would change when it became the active track, this is now fixed

I'm not seeing the problem you describe, but I'm not seeing the changes described above, either. If you have Always Echo Current MIDI Track, the input cannot be set to None; it will default to Omni as it always has. And if you disable Always Echo, you can set the input of a MIDI track to None, and it will stay that way... as it always has.

I never saw the issue described in the second one, so I'm not sure what that's about.

But I am seeing that another issue having to do with Input Echo on MIDI tracks seems to have been fixed indirectly. That is the problem I mentioned in another thread just a few days ago that if you had Always Echo enabled, and you clicked the Input Echo button of a MIDI track that did not have focus, the focus would move to that track, but the Input Echo would not be forced on until you clicked it a second time.
