Hesitant Optimism

I have lots of ideas on how to expand this one but I am ready to move on; so here is a shortened version of whatever this piece becomes.

not my favorite roli tune, I like them to have more of a melody and less dissonance, this one felt short on the 1st and long on the 2nd, but I know that's your style.

People who've never tried to compose an Orchestrated piece have absolutely no idea how demanding it is... It really cannot be compared to a standard bass/drums/and guitar rock song, it's as different as the night from the day in complexity. And you clearly are a master of your domain.

love the opening to this; dramatic and mysterious. some of the cadences are superb, my fave being after the downward chromatic strings about 1'23...the horn part from 1'50 is just the right timbre, i was hoping during the opening that you would have a wind or brass lead somewhere...nice change of pace from 2'50. i'd like to hear the part from 3'45 much more quietly, (one instrument instead of unison) before building into an ending; though it feels like there should be some more to come...

I always love your stuff Ron. Mark said it well - dramatic and mysterious. Nice job!
