Garritan Personal Orchestra 4.0 Which to use Garritan Multi VST_x86 -OR- VST_x86 ???

A quick question I am confused on when inserting GPO4 as a synth in SONAR 8.3.1

What is the difference between selecting .......

VST_x86

Multi VST_x86

I am given these two options when I open the window to insert the plug in and not sure which is the best to choose

    Another thing ...

I am getting glitches and pops in the audio when using GPO4

I never have this problem with VST synths like BFD Drums.

    CPU never exceeds 22%
    Disk never exceeds 5%

    Using a PC Audiolabs i5
    4 gb ram
    3 dedicated drives
    System / Audio / Samples

M Audio Delta 1010 Rackmount PCI interface

    Sonar 8.3.1

    Using the default GPO4 settings

Any ideas what settings to play with to eliminate this problem that only happens in GPO4

Not in DIM PRO, Not in BFD drums, not with anything else

    Thanks

GPO is reading bigger files than BFD, and more of them. It's stressing your disk more and using more RAM. You may have to adjust your buffers upward. Also make sure you don't have a wireless network adapter enabled. There may be some internal adjustments in GPO, but I'm not a GPO user so I don't know. Hopefully a GPO expert like rbowser or jsaras will jump in and comment on that.

Again speculating, but I'm guessing the "multi" version is like Kontakt's 8-out and 16-out variants, which let you run each instrument or section to a separate output. That's normally not needed for orchestral stuff, where a single stereo mix is preferable.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Garritan Support gave me the answer .......

Apparently a known issue with SONAR and GPO (see below)

[font="'calibri','sans-serif'; color: rgb(31, 73, 125); font-size: 11pt"]Ssometimes there is a known issue with Sonar when ARIA UI is open (Sonar can't refresh a GUI and render audio at the same time). If ARIA Player UI is open, closing ARIA when not in use should do the trick.  ref: http://www.garritan.com/faq/index.php?solution_id=1056

Sure enough, if I CLOSE the GPO4 Aria Player GUI interface before playing a project, the problem dissapears.
    No glitches, pops or clicks.

Play the project with the GPO4 interface open and you randomly get clicks and pops.

    Hmmmm
