Add same effect on multiple tracks with one command? SOLVED
Is it possible to add an effect - say reverb - to more than one track at the same time (not using a bus)? I've tried hi-liting the trks I want when adding the effect, but that doesn't work.

you could always save the current setting as a preset.. just open another reverb and reload it.. but if it's the exact same and thats it, the the bus would help you save a small bit of CPU depending on what the reverb is.

Can I ask ... why don't you want to use a bus ? This is really the easiest and most efficient way of adding an effect such as Reverb or Chorus (or whatever else) which is used by many tracks.

☄ Helpful
The best you can do is CTRL-DRAG from source bin to dest bin. It at least that will clone the effect settings and all. But sadly the is no provision yet for dup fx to tracks in one swell foop.

I think there may be a problem doing this. IIRC the two instances of the FX are not toally separate, and although you can see two plugin windows, changing parameters in one of them MAY affect the other (I had this with PSP FX ...). I'll try it out again tomorrow (I'm not at my DAW now).

It just seems like it would be easier if you had for example just 2 or three tracks..maybe not. I just wondered. Can I ask ... why don't you want to use a bus?> Somebody else said <sadly there is no provision yet for dup fx to tracks>, so I guess others wonder, too.

Others also- EDIT: Didn't see your last post, Sorry

stratman70 EDIT: Didn't see your last post, Sorry No problem. There USED to be a problem (maybe with just the PSP Reverb plugin, and maybe just in 8.5.3) but I'm afraid that the specifics escape me at the moment. In any case, a lot of things have been "corrected" over the last few months. As I said, I stand corrected. Thanks.
