"Good Queen Bess" galliard in genuine mock-tudor by Morenoise

Hi All, inspired by a comment, thanks Malcolm, I wanted to compose something in a mock-tudor style. Tried to make the guitar sound as lute-like as I could, this hopefully explains the sound quality .

Have a listen ,if you dare :

    Hi Rik,

I have no idea what 'mock-tudor' means but this is terrific!

Wonderfully composed and played.  The lute-like guitar sounds great, too

Hi Gary, thanks for listening, glad you liked it. I wanted to write a piece of music to fit the title. "Good Queen Bess" is Elizabeth I of England, last of the Tudor dynasty, and since it's not really 16th century music, it's "mock".

I love to hear you play.  And for some reason, this makes me want to compose something new.  So thanks...I wondered if 'it' was going to come back to me or not.  This is beautiful and as far as I know (which is little, I admit), I think you've hit the target. :)

Hi Janet, thanks for listening. Glad you liked it. It's funny how some things can give you the inspiration to compose something. In this case it was the title and then I set myself the task of composing something to fit that title. And if it doesn't fit, I just change the title and nobody will be the wiser ...

Ah, those joyous days when dancing was about grace and style instead of pelvic contortions! The Good Queen would have loved this. As do I!

    Best Regards
