Freezing acting really strange

Can anyone else confirm this?

In build 246, When I freeze a track with effects on it, the effects don't get applied and the effects bin stays active. (Freezing a softsynth bounces down its audio fine, just without the effects). So everything sounds the same, but I don't get the cpu/mem savings from unloading the effects.

WHen I freeze a track that I've done some prochannel things to, it's the same way -- prochannel does NOT get applied to the frozen track, and it is NOT disabled.

However when I freeze a track with no prochannel stuff, prochannel is grayed out and unavailable! (but if I un-freeze, tweak prochannel, and re-freeze, it's suddenly available. I do like abusing this bug to be able to prochannel my frozen soft synth tracks, but I don't like not knowing what to expect.)

The logic here is a complete mess. I'm having trouble even narrowing down exactly what to put in a bug report. Can anyone else confirm this weirdness?

FWIW, I submitted a couple bug reports about these issues:

CWBRN - 4456 - effects bin not applied on freeze
CWBRN - 4457 - prochannel not applied on freeze
CWBRN - 4458 - prochannel not available on frozen track (yeah, I know this is how they "intended" it to be with the earlier quick fix, but I still think it counts as broken, considering all the bugs surrounding it)

I tried this and my effects and prochannel were applied but, when the compressor was on the meters flashed like a strobe light on all tracks even the master and when it was off they acted normal.  That is really weird had not had that before build 246.

Ugh, I was afraid of this. For some reason this happens 100% of the time on my end -- effects and prochannel are never applied when freezing. If this isn't reproducible on other people's setups, then I really don't know what to think.

    AMEN! +1

'Pro-channel not available on frozen track' needs to be fixed ASAP!  We've been able to enable internal EQ (sonitus) on frozen tracks in 8.53 as well as X1a......

Would be nice to have two separate freezes 1) Freeze synth - just the synth stuff  and 2) Freeze Track - audio/ effects

But, atleast make it so we can re-enable Pro-channel on frozen tracks like Sonitus in 8.53!  I don't ever run audio effects when working with midi so as not to make the midi squirly.  Typical to freeze the RAM hungry sample instruments as we go long before mixing.  Mixing is coming back to frozen synth tracks and then adding all of the stuff....
