To anyone who has a birthday this year
Question If you are part of that group, is it appropriate or inappropriate to give yourself a gift? I figure I am the main giver to everyone all year long. I appreciate the gifts I get from my kids a lot. But they have no ability to step up to a major purchase, such as my own castle, a 747 with a recording studio and Carmen Electra. So I axe you dis Is it wrong to buy myself something cool? Maybe not show the kids that I did, but when they are not looking?
Some people call me Maurice SPLAT Pro lifetime, ADK 6 core 3.6Ghz with 32 GB RAM, SSD 1TB system drive, 3 3TB regular drives for samples, recordings and misc. Behringer X Touch, UAD Apollo Quad. 2 UAD2 Quads PCI (i think - inside the box whatever that is), Console 1. More guitars (40??) and synths (hard and soft) than talent. Zendrum!!!

Yes. You should never buy yourself anything ever again. At least that's what my wife tells me.

I am legally obligated to buy myself something every year. So if one doesn't do so, one might not be allowed to continue into the next year. Your wife/kids wouldn't want that to happen, would they?

I'm not having a birthday next month on the 20th. Cancelled. But I'm still going to get something.....probably from the Dollar Store....I'm curious, I've never been in one.

Spacey Here is how to have a blast at the dollar store. I did this once. I was walking around looking at stuff. Found something interesting and took it to the register "How much is this?" "its $1" "OK thanks" Walked around a bit more, found something else "How much is this?" "its $1" "OK thanks" Again - walked around, found something else "How much is this?" "its $1 - everything in the store is $1. "Everything?" "Everything!" "Even this?" "Yes - Everything in the store is priced at $1" "So everything, right?" "Yes sir, every item in the store is $1. That is why the store is called Everything is just $1." "Ok thanks" Walked around the store for a bit more. Found something else. Took it to the cash register. "What about this? How much is this?" "Sir, as I said, EVERYTHING is $1!" So I left. In NYC there is a "Everything is just $1" store. Across the street from it is a "99c only "store. Talk about intense competition.

I bought a stapler from the £1 store then I had to go back and get a £1 modelling knife to get the stapler out of its blister pack. Extortion I tell thee.

Let's take ma look at this question from a different perspective...with a bit of editing. "Is it wrong to buy myself something cool? Maybe not show the kids parents that I did, but when they are not looking?" I think you have your answer.
