recording a radio show long distance (skype?)

hey everyone,

my friend and i live across the country and want to try recording a radio show together. we would have pre-written bits and we'd talk about various things and play off each other and whatnot. we might also want to have some guests call in.

would the best way to do this be using skype? what would be best for getting the best possible quality (we'd love it to sound like we're in the same room and not over the phone, but we'll do what we can for now). also, is there a way to record the entire conversation, both his streaming voice to me and my voice going thru the mic so that we get both of us on one track? or maybe even better, a way to record the 2 separate so i could do some post mixing?

thanks for the help.
Dave
