Record Button possible bug---

Hi,guys, Wondering if anyone else has this behaviour with the record button. Sometimes,instead of using the auto-punch, I just hit the record button from the beginning of the track. Sometimes it will immediately go into record. Othertimes it does not start but gives me the drop down menu for record or step record. I have to hit it again to get it to start. Am I missing something here?
I am aware of the step record option, even though I have never used it. Was just wondering if there is a setting to make sure it always triggers start record.
BTW, Nice to have you all back here. Hope there wasn't too many cases of forum withdrawal during Amazon's little Easter vacation.

    It may be that you're just clicking too slowly. It appears to me that if you hold the button down for even 1/3 of a second or less it may give you the record mode options. This might be adjustable in your mouse settings (or maybe even in a SONAR INI file somewhere), but I doubt it. You might just need to train yourself to release the button quicker.
     
    I never noticed this until you pointed it out because I always use R on my keyboard to toggle recording.

    The same thing happens to me.  I never had that problem in Sonar 8.5.



    That's because 8.5 didn't have left-click-hold options built into the Record button.

    Hey Sidroe.  The same thing happens to me.  I never had that problem in Sonar 8.5.


    lol...serious?..thats because 8/5 didnt have the step record attached to the record button itself.
