You can easily split any audio wave or MP3 file you can import into MC5's audio tracks.

Simply right click of the clip to highlight it and select split from the dropdown box.... you can spit it at any point by zooming or inputting the exact location for the split.

I use splits all the time to delete audio I don't want in the final track or to copy a segment to use to paste in other places.
