I've just discovered that my VVOCAL no longer works either in X1b producer, just a white screen. After searching all the forums and enabling cronus.dll, which still didn't fix it, I looked on my old drive with 8.5 on it, and lo and behold, the folder in Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\VVocal called SKIN was the culprit. The version on my drive with X1 had nothing in it!
I copied the following files from my old install into the SKIN folder and it works like the good old days:
Alphabets.bmp, Alphabets2.bmp, BridgeUI.bmp, VVocal.INI, VVocalBase.ini, and VVSkin2.bmp. I wish this info was easily findable and also hope it works for others. I am thrilled not to have to buy Melodyne, Autotune, or izotope Nectar. Not that they're not great programs, but it's just more money to fix a mediocre singer, for crying out loud.
