Dimension Pro Samples sound "bowed"

Admittedly, I am new to Dimension Pro.  I'm playing around with the stand alone unit right now, and most samples have a "bowed" attack.  The pianos, for example sound "bowed" instead of struck.  I know I could program the attack and all, but I must be missing something.  I've tried initializing and reloading samples, but always the same.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Michael

Hmmm - Interesting reaction.  Well, it must be what your ears are hearing, and hopefully once you edit those attacks tighter, the results will be to your liking.

Not really sure what you mean by bowed.  Maybe latency?  Or is it the attack.  I've never noticed a problem w/ DimPro like that.  If the envelope attack doesn't fix it, you can look into the SFZ files w/ the samples and see if they have any delay.

Are you using a controller? If so, is it set for a long attack?

I'm guessing the OP is playing back a downloaded MIDI sequence that was intended for a GM synth, and has CC72 controllers in it that increase attack time of whatever patch is loaded. Delete those controllers, reload the patches, and all should return to normal.

What soundcard? What is your latency set to?
