Only one speaker produces sound using playback

Hello

Ive had a look around the forum but couldnt find an answer.

Ive recently started using Sonar LE.  When I plug my guitar directly into the PC and playback a recording the sound only comes out of one speaker, the left one.  I am only plugged into one interface port on the PC.

When I use my condenser mic it comes out both speakers, any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

    Welcome!

You say the sound comes out from the left side only, but is there something recorded on both channels?? If there's audio on left channel only, then everything is as it should be, isn't it?

You are most likely trying to record a mono source on a stereo track.

Remember: Mono source (guitar, bass, microphone) > mono track

Is your condenser mic a stereo mic? I used to have one thirty years ago with my magnetophone :o)
