I too am having all sorts of issues in exporting AUDIO... works sometimes... sometimes SONAR stops responding after the bounce, other times the bounce works and SONAR comes back but then the AUDIO is HOSED and I have to reboot anyway and finally, probably only one of ten times, all works fine.

Me thinks the BAKERS aren't done with this one yet.

I would guess theres a rogue plugin somewhere in your project. Can you list all of the plugins and synths being used in the project(s) that's giving you export issues?

If you use external hardware... SONAR needs to record it in realtime. If you only  downmix or bounce  VST plugin SONAR can then render it fast mode.

I am using VST Plugs from the following companies:

UAD2 - some EQs, some Comps, STUDER, Echoplex
    Echoboy - Soundtoys
    Amplitube 3
Cakewalk IR engine - Perfect Space
    Kontakt Version 4.2.2 x64
    UVIWorkstation x64

This is a very simple project with no automation with the above plugins.

    Jkleban,

In your case, try real-time bouncing. I would bet its either the UAD plugins or the Soundtoys plugins that are causing the problem. There's some settings in the UAD control panel that might resolve your issue.

Thanks for the response guys...  Freddie the project dose have a Hardware Synth hooked up..I did bounce it first to audio and moved and muted the midi , incase I wanted to change things around later, I am aware you need to bounce real time with hardware synths ,  BUT I was able to export the project using fast bounce alone without 64 bit dp selected. So I  dont think the hardware had anything to do with it..
Seth , I too think a plugin is the culprit, But I'm not really using anything out of the norm. I'm using a few plugins from Komplete 7, a bunch of pro channels .. a few instances of WOW filter from Sugar Bytes , I will investigate it some more tonight. Not a real biggie as I dont hear a difference either way. But though it would be worth mentioning as I was having difficulties bouncing. So far the only crash I had since the hot fixes. Pretty Happy I must Add... Thanks again..

    Seth,

Thanks but I am using real time, AUDIBLE bouncing... the fast bounce thing always gave me a problem even in the Version 8 world.

I would look into the UAD2 settings again. Perhaps with the few updates I have done the settings got hosed.

    Thanks SETH

    UAD2 ... still fake x64... in x32
I would guess that causing the problem...
I assume you use the X64bit version of SONAR right? If not?..If you use SONAR x32 that is perhaps why you have problem in the first place.....32bit sucks..stay away!

Freddie.. the drivers for the UAD2 are 64 bit but you are right, the plugs are 32 bit but they run on the card so only the GUI and the data pipes are 32 bit.  Should work fine...

As a side note, if I bounce not using the 64 bit engine, all is fine. Maybe Freddie is onto something afterall.

Freddie, it's OK that you are obsessed with 64 bits as the solution to all the world's problems, but come on, on what basis do you "guess that causing the problem"?

And sorry, "32bit sucks" is not a technical rationale.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
