eSATA to Firewire

Is there such a thing?

I almost purchased a laptop computer this past weekend.  After looking around I noticed that most all lappy's no longer come equipped with firewire.  If the lappy doesn't have an PCMCIA slot is there a workaround to get firewire400?

Thanks

If there's not an express-card slot... the short answer is no (no means of adding Firewire)

eSATA is just external SATA (which is a hard-disk controller)
