Panu: I really like what you did on this track and how you weren't afraid to use effects and various textures. A few things if I may?

I'm getting some nasty sub-low bass on this end in all the monitors I listen on. This could be due to the compressed quality of the video as it also made the cymbals sound darker than they probably are.

I felt the vocals could come up a bit also, then again, if the encoding is chopping out the highs which I know it is to some extent, this could be the reason. Very theatrical song here with some good stuff going on. I'd love to listen to it in better quality before I comment further though. I like what I heard so far! Very artistic with some killer sounds. :)

A very "Pink Floydish" tune to my ears. I like musical journeys . I listened through cheap earbuds at work so can't really comment on how the mix sounded. The youtube mix sounded decent to me through the ear buds.

I felt a conveyance of a dark mood which is likely what you were after. Great Job FWIW coming from a low to intermediate level engineer.lol.

Time to make listen-able music as well eh?

This is quite pleasant, the bass seems quite dominant in the early part which I found distracting.  I guess that vocals are not supposed to be heard.  The Bass from 6.30 to about 7:20 is just a little OTT in my opinion, as Dani says this could be related to the playback source.

Thanks for sharing I did listen to the end and for the most part my ears enjoyed the experience apart from the bass being overpowering..

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, bass is loud... drummer insisted it must be louder than anything else. Vocals had to be 'somewhere in the mix'. I may cut some low end and boost vocals a bit to make the mix more balanced.

enjoyed this. in many ways it's not a million miles away from what our very own Distant Towers do, that kinda gothic/dirty blues with a prog edge...i agree bass is a little too prominent, drums are very well-played, vocals could be more upfront, but just turning the bass down will solve a lot i think.
