For the *in progress* guitarists....
Good morning all.... Over the years I've had a few guitar students and it was very rewarding to help them on their musical path....I'm sure many here have given lessons also. For the newbs....should any of you just be starting out and whining about the guitar is too large, your hand is too small, your fingers are too short or the discomfort level as you look at the blackened, painful grooves on the end of your phalanges I submit this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=yE7waNi5dc0 My wife found this and forwarded to me. It brought a very large smile to my face just watching them. With any luck this hasn't been posted previously and will be worthy of used bandwidth. A creative day to all...

I think I see little kids behind those guitars. And they don't even have all their teeth yet.

Cute little buggers. Something kinda creepy about this though.

That's not fair! Their fingers are more supple than mine. And I imagine they just LOVE practicing 10 hours a day too. But wow! I should find the link to the piano player with no fingers on her right hand.

Ha....very astute RobertB.... Those axes are likely taller than the axers and axettes(?).......so to speak. EDIT: Thanks Janet for that one.

I stumbled across this a few months ago and posted a link here. And, I'm awfully glad to think someone else also found it and enjoyed it enough to post a link this week. I think it's charming... and the little lady in the middle has more fret board "reach" than I ever expect to develop. Great stuff!!! Thanks for posting! best regards, mike

That was absolutely incredible. And they all really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Can you imagine these kids in 20 years?

Mornin' all.... Glad I wasn't the only one that enjoyed it. Yea....some even without all their teeth yet. Seeing those little angelic faces bobbing their heads to the rhythm just makes me smile. Thanks for chiming in....time for more coffee.

A buddy was remarking on the discipline required to get those toddlers to that point, and the idea that it was something unique to the culture of that area. Then I reminded him of how athletes are raised for gymnastics in this country...

I think they start the training in utero. Or maybe even before conception...

They're really good. But when you've had a guitar epoxy bonded to your left thigh you may as well play it or it just gets in the way during gymnastics training.
