A-800-Pro

I got my A-800-Pro yesterday. Hooked it up right out of the box via Midi in/out without the software through a midi router. Worked like a charm. Instant gratification. I opened an existing project and lo and behold even the A1-A8 drum pads worked. I'm looking forward to getting the editor and USB drivers installed.

Is there a Control Map for ACT that enables the transport buttons, The A1 thru A8 Pads for drum notes, The Sliders for Tracks 1 thru 8 Vol., on the A-800 Pro? I've gotten the rotaries to control Pan and sliders 1 thru 8 to control volume. Due to the different labels on the B1 thru B8 buttons in ACT verses the L1 thru L8 on the A Pro I am not sure how to learn them. Midi learn does not respond. Can I relabel the buttons C1 +B1 thru C8 + B8 and B1 thru B8? I'd like to use as the B1 thru B8 buttons in ACT for the L1 thru L8 transport buttons on the A-Pro.

OK this is interesting - will you have the same options via midi hookups that you would have if you went usb.  My guess is ACT needs usb.  Otherwise you have to manually use midi learn - and no auto mapping to Sonar...we'll see.

I should have said that I installed the software and hooked up USB. It would certainly work via Midi in/out, it's basically the same thing-all midi. I didn't have transport controls or sliders and rotories right out of the box, just keys and drum pads. I'm thinking maybe I need to enable the Midi out for the A Pro. According to the manual if you have Sonar all you need to do is enable the ACT button. But do I set the A Pro to control map 0 or 19 or what? I tryed to midi learn the rotories to control velocity trim on the tracks but only the first track will program. Still messin with it.
