I have been saving to buy a V 700, with all of the little quirks now should I hold on for another year? or pull the trigger?

If you have the cash, grab it while you can if happy with the price. However be also prepared to commit to the world of Sonar firstly because it is dedicated. It is the best hardware option for dedicated Sonar users, even under X1. Cheers.
