EZ Drummer 64bit CPU load vs Superior Drummer cpu load

I use Superior Drummer 64bit, but would like to know if EZ Drummer has a lower CPU load and if so how much?  I am considering buying EZDrummer for quick mixes but would like to know this first.

Thanks

It's not an apples to apples comparison because Superior Drummer 2 has internal plugins that can be loaded.  Therefore, EZdrummer should be a lighter load.

Thank you there Mod Bod!  I was hoping that you would chime in as you are our resident expert here on the Toontrack programs.

I would be more worried about the Ram usage from the kits in SD2 some of them are huge.

I cant say anything for EZ though I havent used it but SD2 is good apart from there tec support Toontrack has one of the worst tec suport team I have ever come across

I can agree with the Exceeding 7 gigs
In options you can alocate how much ram SD2 can use at the min I have mine set to 8gig

Our Evil Drums SDX is probably the most detailed expansion and with all bleeds and unlimited layers a kit loads in 4,848 MB -- but if you start adding XDrums and creating bigger kits, then no doubt you could approach that...

You don't get all those bleed options for free. They're samples, too.

Simple tip to lower SD2's RAM requirements: use 16-bit samples.

Less-convenient tip to lower it further: use cache mode.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

+1 for the Cache mode I had to use that for some kits back in my protools day ( with limited ram usage anyway)
I then realised protools was the Devil moved to Sonar 64 bit and never looked back
