X1, Tascam US-1641, ASIO4all, and Sound Forge

Hi
Was hoping someone may have experienced this. Was having a issue with ASIO4all Driver. When exporting a track into Sound Forge to edit. It plays but there is no sound. In the options>audio it dosn't recognise the ASIO4all. But after repeteing the process a few time it works and in the options>audio it does recognize.  I found the ASIO4all driver much better when it does work on Sound Forge no latency as with the Tascam 1641 driver.

Thanks,
 Will

and you have tried things like "share in background" option within sonar ?

also are you sure SF is using the card and not a default card instead ? if it isn't having an audio source I'm guessing it shouldn't even play (recycle informs me no audio device in my case) or even attempt to play.

When you say "Share in background are you saying Share with other program?
I made some screen shots of my settings to maybe explain it better

    share drivers with other programs
    "TICKED"

I can't speak for soundforge , as I don't use it.. and I'm not a big fan of a4all either as it's not a native driver.
