How to record Skrewell on Reaktor in Sonar?

clearly the Midi recording doesn't work as skrewell just generates noise..
is there any way to capture the noise directly onto a track at all?

Select the time range you want to record, then select both the audio and midi tracks associated with Reaktor (though the midi track does nothing with Skrewell, no harm in selecting it here), then from the track tab select "bounce to track."

You can (probably) also use the Freeze function, again after setting the time range.

What I do for Reaktor noise generators when they are in instrument tracks is to make an automation envelope for the duration that I want it to record for and then freeze it. Then you have the audio to resample and play with further.

Otherwise, it assumes that there is no data in the track to record.

what do u mean by "selecting the time range"?

do u mean setting loop points to record on?

Create an automation envelope. Make a node at the end of the track. Freeze the track.

You can also record any kind of midi event at the end of the midi track, such as a pedal or modwheel.  Any midi data on the track is enough to allow you to then select a range of both the midi and softsynth and bounce it to a track or freeze it.  Automation envelopes are another way.

My preferred option is to add the Reaktor as an audio fx on an audio track rather than a softsynth/midi track combo.  That way you don't have a an midi track that Sonar wants populated before time selecting/freeezing etc.  You can simply select a range and bounce to track.
