Multiple echo/repeats with TTS-1

Hi, I need a bit of assistance.

For some reason, when I insert TTS-1 and I preview the sound I can hear lots and lots of echoes.  This has not been my previous experience and I would like to kow what I've done wrong.  Can someone please enlighten me?

Steps:
1. Open Sonar (8.5 or X1, same results)
2. Insert TTS-1
3. Hit the preview button for channel one.  The piano sample plays but there's lots and lots of echoes/repeats!

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,
John Mazur.

what soundcard are you using and what driver mode and what is your latency set to?

I'm using an Edirol UA-25 'soundcard', ASIO, 4096 samples.

reduce your samples to 256 or less.  depending on your computer specs you might be able to go lower - like 128 or even 64.

the problem is that the echo input on the audition is causing an "echo" (thus the name) based on the latency settings which currently you have set pretty high.  reducing the latency should reduce the echo you hear.

I did a really thorough test and found the following:
    1.  Sonar 8.5 works perfectly on my Mac Mini.
    2.  Sonar 8.5 on my New-Beaut-Machine (NBM) has echoes.
    3.  When I run Virtual XP mode on the NBM no echoes.
The NBT is an Intel i7, 8GB RAM ... it just goes!
    What gives with the echoes?

OK, I decided to look around and found that after I used the wave-profiler no echoes.

I don't know why this is, but I am pleased to have solved my problem.

The preceeding acion has also solved the echo issues on X1 as well!
