Innocuous Sentimentality

This one was just the way I felt while it was being composed.

Hard to explain the feeling with words but pretty easy with music.

Interesting piece with great production as always Ron.  I liked the piano part in the middle.  Always something to keep our ears entertained.  Nice job

I STILL wish I could spend at least a day looking over your shoulder while you write music.

But I'm not sure I'd want to get inside your head if this is how you were feeling then.  I do, however, love the fact that we can compose how we feel.  And you did it so well here.

Ah, the usual orchestral madness arising from those keyboard depths.

Currently, I'm projecting cold, splendid and creepy hypnotics into this.
Currently, I'm projecting this as 'my fav' of yours to date, --haha!

Question: What is the motif/purpose of orchestral music by you or other composers?

I finally figured out that what you call sentimentality, I call fear! LOL  I wouldn't mind lookin' over your shoulder like Janet said but I'd pass on being inside your head.  I think it's like being inside mine.  This one made me look over my shoulder.  Chimes haven't seemed spooky to me before. beautiful, but spooky.  I can answer Philip's question.  The purpose of orchestral music is to kjeep orchestral musicians working.  Ha.  Really interesting tune, Ron.I liked it but I feared it. :-)
