how much ginger is too much?
I just made and drank a blended citrus punch with a few tablespoons of frozen concentrate orange juice and frozen concentrate lime-aid, a lot of ice cubes, and a big pile of diced fresh ginger root.
My wife said it was too much.
It burns.

The current Mrs G made a ginger cheesecake recently - ginger biscuits for the base, ginger syrup mixed with the marscarpone and ginger chunks.
That was too much.

Mary Ann was a cutie.
Does any one have a ginger punch reciepe. There's a restaurant in town that sells a glass for $3.00 it's just a little bit of juice and a lot of ice and I always want more, more, more.
I finally decided to try making it at home.
I'm thinking of adding some fresh pineapple to the blender.

Apparently, you can get too much ginger. This is from the section marked "Medicinal Use" in Wiki. "An acute overdose of ginger is usually in excess of about 2 grams of Ginger per kilogram of body mass, [15] dependent on level of ginger tolerance, and can result in a state of central nervous system over-stimulation called ginger intoxication or colloquially the "ginger gitters"." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginger#Medicinal_use

That seems to be about 3½ to 4 ounces of raw ginger for a 200 lb person. Yes? No? Maybe?
