Changing Screensets

Could someone be kind enough to please tell me how long it takes to change screensets?  Instantaneous? a quarter of a second?  In previous versions, changing layouts is instantaneous, practically speaking.

Best,

Jerry

I have 4 screensets saved on my number keys.  Depending on what's happening at the time, changing between them can take between a fraction of a second to around 3 seconds max.

Your post implies that you already know changing between screensets isn't as fast as changing views in previous Sonars, but to be honest, I have to say that the slight delay in changing screens is No Big Deal - it's hardly perceptible.

Almost instant here even on playback. If you are experiencing slow changes make sure your floppy disk controller is disabled, even if you don't have a floppy. It impacts on screenset changes because of the way the browser is implemented.

Layouts are nowhere near as powerful as screensets and really shouldn't be compared as such.

Jerry - are you seeing something other than really quickly?  my screensets change very quickly - they tend to have plugins and softsynths "fade out" and "fade in" which takes a some milliseconds, but probably less than a second to change.  are you seeing something different?

1 to 3 seconds for a screenset change is totally unacceptable!
During a daylong session that may add up to 1/2 minute of valuable time wasted.
