Automating the Export Function

Is there a way to automate the export i.e.
Got 8 tunes that ultimatly will become an albums worth of material.
I would like to automate the export to wav and even MP3.
Is there a way to do this in X1 Producer?

Don't think so. I could be wrong. The only Batch functionality implemented is for playing files in batch mode, not for export.

The best thing you can do is to set all the parameters in the export dialog box the way you want them, then save this as a preset which you can use over & over again.

This isn't automation by any stretch of the imagination, but it saves a lot of time if you've got a lot of songs to export.

I didn't understand what the OP meant by automation, but yes...
+1 to Jonesy.
Using a preset is the most fluent way IMO.
A batch export would require having all the projects opened and that would not be realistic.

No, SONAR doesn't provide any batch processing functionality.

I have written a program for X2 that does a batch export.  I can select individual files or a directory that contains multiple cakewalk projects.  I have about 80 projects that I need to export periodically, and it can take hours to do it so I wrote this program.

Right now I can automate wave files and VBR mp3's.  The mp3 export uses the Cake Lame encoder, and you can specify artist, album, etc.  I'm currently adding fixed bit rates.  I also use your existing presets if you want.

I'm looking for input about additional functionality.

I hope to post a youtube video of the program working soon.
