Opening Driver Settings crashes program
When I go to Edit>preferences>Driver Settings, as soon as I click on Driver Settings the project I'm working on immediately crashes, and Sonar shuts down - every time...? I get a "Fatal Error" even with no project open, and again Sonar shuts down. Currently using ASIO, Lexicon Omega sound card. Thanks for any help.

Just to be clear - and before I reload everything, there isn't a particular driver that crashes, but just trying to access where the drivers are located (Edit>Preferences>Driver Settings) crashes the program...when I click on Driver Settings. That's as far as I get. As far as the driver not being properly installed, I don't have a problem using the driver, but I was just going to adjust the buffer. The problem is just getting to the drivers.

no not your whole x1...just the drivers for you interface...and yes..your drivers can be working properly but you cant access the control panel to adjust latency?right..i think its a place to start..i know of nothing else that would cause you not to be able to access thedrivers tab..but we will wait and see if someone else knows differently...good luck.

Appreciate the advice, Chuck. I'll sit on this a little while, and try that if necessary.

Hi, I m using a lexicon omega also. I get the exact same error message and crash. my fix was I found this usb driver http://www.usb-audio.com/. It works perfect at extreme low latency, better then lexicons driver. It cost money but is cheaper then buying a new interface. The only downside is the midi ports don't work

Update on the crashes: I downloaded the latest drivers for my Omega card, and that didn't help, so I re-installed X1, and the first time I tried to access my drivers I crashed just as before. I'm still at square one. I'm not going to do Miragedelux's fix yet (<my fix was I found this usb driver http://www.usb-audio.com/. It works perfect>) - expense, and the fact that this worked fine for months before the problem. Any more ideas?

Do you need asio? If you don't I remember that the WDM driver worked fine, just had higher latency. Go to Edit>preferences>Playback and Recording and select WDM as the driver mode, if that doesn't work try one of the other driver modes. I remember one of them worked, just didn't have low latency

asio4all is a free alternative driver, worth a try...

I may try ASIO4ALL down the road, but I think I have more problems than that going on now. I've started a session with Sonar Support.
