Nube HELP! Track Insert FX - Dry mixed with Wet Issue

Whenever I insert a plug in effect on a track, it is always mixed with the dry original audio.  For example, I insert a delay plug-in and set the delay's wet control to 100% I still hear the original signal.  Or, I insert an amp modeler plug-in I get both the dry guitar mixed with the modeled guitar.

I know this must be simple but I cant find the full series (not parallel) insert method!

THX

Don't you WANT the dry signal and isn't that the point of setting the wet signal to 100%?  Not being sarcastic here, just wondering..... because that's the way I've been using time-based effects recently.  Instead of inserting them on the main track (lead guitar, for instance), I put the effect on a bus and route the main track to that bus, which is 100% wet, then use the bus' slider to control the "volume" of the effect.

try your external interface..there should be a knob called either direct monitoring..or mix..something like that..turn it all the way to the left and see what happens..if not try the right..try and write out your computer, interface specs out if you want more help..and accurate help as well.

Thanks guys but if you see my second post I figured it out.  You were correct chuckebaby that it was a switch on the interface.  I agree with you Jimmy on using a bus for reverbs, etc.  However, some effects (such as a guitar modeling plugin) work best as an insert on the track itself.

    Thanks again guys

    DOH!

I must have sounded like an idiot.  I totally read your post wrong.  I thought you had mentioned a bus for some reason, but you were talking about just inserting an effect on a track and hearing the dry signal with the wet signal on that track.  LOL
