Have you tried re-importing the track? I had something similar happen. By importing to a new track the wave came back.

Try this. Right click an audio track with the missing waveform image, select Clip Properties, go to the Audio Files Tab and click the Recompute Picture(s) button.

Try Chappel's suggestion, or mine: empty your Picture Cache folder. When you open the project after that, it will redraw your visuals. It's just a corrupt picture file, happens every once in a while.

Chappel has the best suggestion, also you can just select the clip and "alt+B" (or "cntl+B"?... can't remember!) A.K.A. Bounce to clips- that'll recompute your pictures for ya.

Let me see if I understand this.... your "deadline" is approaching, presumably to deliver a finished project for someone or maybe for yourself, however, the graphic representations of the .wav files on each track aren't visible so it's a show stopper, preventing you from... what exactly?

Could possibly be preventing detailed edits of portions of audio - accurately cutting/pasting/deleting or drawing envelopes with only straight lines could prove quite a challenge.

This happens to me all the time, I don't know why. I just select the clip go to process- audio- gain. Leave the gain adjust at zero and process. Works every time. Paul
