man...love that Teleie bite!! Great playing! Funny thing is most times I dont think about your mixes...too buzy grooving...so I would guess that means you hit the bullseye!

Nice work!

Hi all,
G.C.Big Band Blues w Telecaster is one of the Guitar Center backing tracks called Big Band Blues
I played over this backing track using a Esquire that I turned into a Telecaster
I really enjoy playing my guitar over Pete Anderson's backing tracks when i do ...
they are a lot of fun to play over
I sincerely hope you enjoy the guitar playing on this

Hi Tom , I'm glad you gave this clip a listen and enjoyed it
mixing is something that i enjoy doing.....even though i've got a long way to go
the goal of my mix's in general is to just get out of my own way and let the music play
yes, there is just something about the sound of a Telecaster .....
my whole experience on playing Tele's  in a nut shell ........once bitten , always smitten . until death do us part

Something has been on my mind I think you just helped me make up my mind.

Cool track and it was the sound/tone that helped me makeup this single cell of mine.

Nice ballsy guitar tone and phrasing!   I really like how thick and sustained you can get the tele to sound.  Nice job!

Yup, count me in on the Tone-Love.  Wouldn't change a thing.  If you played it exactly like that, you earned your First-Place standing!

Mostly off-topic, does that pic show you having one of those multiple-tuning bridges on your Tele?  If so, what do you think of it?  I've never used one, but they've always been in the back of my mind...

Hi Slugbaby,
I'm glad that i had recorded this clip a few days before the competition....
the night I performed , i had a general idea of what i was looking to play from this recording  as a guide to work from .....i played it about 80 % from the clip w some improv
I was there mostly to have fun & share my guitar playing w whomever cares to enjoy it
2 of us from that night get to move on to the next level of competition .....

I happen to Love the tone of my guitar  on this clip , it is a live tone that i use that wasn't done in the box ......
it is re creatable under any circumstance out of any amp or sound system  ....

here is the Tele that i played on the recording , and the night of the competition

the guitar that you are asking about is this Tele my #1

this guitar has a Hipshot Trilogy bridge
the Hipshot is a little pricey ....perfect if you want to be able to tune each string to 3 different notes , and be able to change guitar tunings on the fly
the Hipshot Trilogy  has been on my guitar for over 10 years ....works well ,
it takes a little time to dial in ......

Those are beautiful guitars.  I love Telecasters.  I've got one with a factory-installed Bigsby, but another that i've modded often over the last 20 years.  That one could use a Hipshot, as I'm starting to play slide a lot more (and still do the occasional Keith Richards ripoff).
Thanks for the info.
