Presonus Monitor station mute button question

I currently have a JBL MSC1 that I will be taking back to Guitar Center because both left and right outputs on all speakers with out suddenly. I am considering upgrading to the Presonus Monitor Station but I'd like to know if the mute button mutes the headphone outputs and the speakers? I need to be able to mute my monitors but not the headphone output. The MSC1 doesn't not have this feature....pressing mute on the MSC1 mutes both speakers and headphones. If anyone can shed some light on this I would be greatly appreciated.
