New X1 Essential user - Resolved

Hi Folks; from the same side of the fence this time.

I appear to have everything set up and registered on a fresh drive with Windows 7 - including the the free kontakt 4 player, kore player, addictive drums and all my present VST's, effects, tumble dryer and ice cream machine.

I've dragged in a test midi piece from Reaper, and I can add tracks, instruments and effects through right-clicking in the window of the "inspector pane" on each newly made track, but I can't find out how to put my original sounds into the imported midi tracks? When I click in the effects window in the inspector pane, the options have changed from what's available for the new tracks.

As always, much appreciated.

what "original sounds" are you referring to?  your own samples?

what options have changed?  from what?  to what?  try to be a little more specific so we can help.

The original sounds refers to the sounds from the original VST's, from the original midi piece I dragged into the track view in X1.

The track view and tracks display the original midi names and  midi data, but there are no sounds.

There are no options for me to apply sounds to these midi tracks in the inspector pane where I applied sounds to the new midi tracks I have created.

    Thanks
