Bach Instrumental covered from David Wilcox

Here's a short Bach instrumental using open tunings.  I used Home Studio 7, recorded to 3 tracks (two mics and guitar pick-up), mixed down to two tracks adjusting only e.q. and adding subtle reverb.

Constructive critcism welcome:

Hi Steve, Nice arrangement in an interesting tuning. Soundwise it lacks bass imho, I would turn up the bass on the direct track and maybe use some compression.

Thanks.  I noticed that too when I listened here at the office that I may have rolled off too much low end.

I was in my basement office, which has tiled floors: I put down a carpet under the mics, but the mic'd tracks sounded boomy to me so I e.q.'d that out, too much apparently.

    Thanks for chiming in.

Nice jog, Col.  I can listen to Bach but can't play his stuff.  Sometimes the sound was really nice to me and sometimes I was looking for something else.  Story of my life.  I think you done good!

Very nice, Steve!  too short, tho!  I agree with Rik that it could use a little more bottom end.  in boomy rooms like you're describing we tend to roll off too much bass because we hear it more in those types of rooms.

    very nice recording, nice playing
