Something Small: on start up Sonar always loads "Normal" template?? (Solved)

Every time I load Sonar (X1b build 246) the "Normal" template is loaded also. So, I go to Preferences/Advanced/File/Advanced and remove the check from the "On Start up load Normal Template" and then save the setting by choosing apply. But it never disappears? I have done this on my lap top and it works fine. But even though I tell Sonar not to load it on start up it still does????

Any ideas?

This may not be it - but after hitting apply  you are hitting OK? Yes?  Try OK without apply.
Mine is unchecked and has never checked itself!

Well this is strange. So on my studio computer, the "On Start up load Normal Template" is unchecked yet every time Sonar starts it opens that project??? So I went ahead and tried to select it to see if I can de-select it afterward. But even if I select it and hit either "OK" or "Apply"--it doesn't register or save my selection?????
I can't say this is a bug because on my laptop I am able to select or deselect it at will.

    Strange.....

have you tried applying it with you running sonar as "run as admin" .. see if that improves matters.

also you got rid of the startup box that gives you the templates ?

To stop X1 loading the normal template, you also have to tick "Use per-project audio folders" under Preferences>File>Audio Data.
I'm not sure I follow the logic here, but it seems to work.

    Cheers, Peter.

LOL!  Not sure if I follow the logic either - using per project since it became available - can't wait to try this to see if the logic magically appears!

That was the answer! Kind of strange like you said. Glad you stumbled across that.

    Thanks.
