Need help with Sonar 4.0.4 and EZDrummer Lite. installation in Widows Vista 32 bit o.s.

Need help with Sonar 4.0.4 and EZDrummer Lite. installation in Widows Vista 32 bit o.s.

I have the early Sonar Studio 4 and installed the EZDrummer Lite into my laptop that runs Windows Vista.
EZDrummer Lite open and plays well on the desk top with Tune track solo. But when I try to open Sonar Studio there is no Midi synth or any tracks  that say EZDrummer.  I can drag and drop from the TTsolo to the Sonar tracks but it can only play the Cakewalk TTS-1 DXi synth and dont sound like how it is supposed to be. I wanted to have this run first then later install the full version when I figure out how this thing works. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    This may be too obvious, but I assume you do have the VST-Adapter that is required for VSTs in version 4?

    Is EZD in the same folder as your other VSTs? Did you let Plugin Manager scan for new VSTs?

    Your comment :"...there is no MIDI-synth or tracks that say EZD." makes me wonder a little. What do you mean? How could there be "tracks that say EZD"?
    How do you insert soft synths? Maybe I don't remember how version 4 works.

    Hello Kalle, Yes I do have the VST adapter in version 4. I ran that and it said it was succesful but I don't see the EZD anywhere in Sonar. I reinstalled it the second time in the custom installation where I read the file location should be in the program files folder but still no luck.
    I must be doing something wrong here!
    Oh ... one weird thing that happens is that when I run the VST adapter the second time the VST adapter goes into "not responding" mode, so I have to cancel all the time.
    Getting really confused here...

    Problem solved.
    I did some serious research and read past threads from ModBod and CJay ... gave me some clues that my Sonar software was missing a few items. SO..... 
    I did a complete un-install and install of Sonar 4 with patches and did the same for EZD lite. Found the right paths for the VST's and set up the Audio and Midi correctly. I am up and running like a champ... I even installed the EZDrummer full version and so far I'm on the right track!
