MIDI Controller Selection

Jusy wondering if anyone else was having issues in build 246 with selecting controllers?  I have an M-Audio Key 49i (USB) that is at my left hand for simple input and loop triggering, then I have a Midi Sport 8x8 (USB) for my other controllers.  88 key, drum pads etc.  In 8.5.3 they all showed up in MIDI set-up, and in each track and could be selected just great.  Now X1 sees the M-Audio, the Firewire Interface extra ports and the 8x8, but won't work when selecting the individual controller.  Pull down the input window, they are all the there, but when you select an input from the 8x8 or the 49i, the window collapses and indicates "None".  Called tech, they weren't sure why, but we found out the quick fix was to select all, then all controllers worked everything.  You can't select the input channel from there either which again there are workarounds, but it makes it slower to have several passes on one track in different channels.

None of this is huge (not letting anyone off the hook here, it needs to be fixed) but it does come in conflict with my Ramsa DA7 mk 2 desk when I want to use it as a control surface.  Now information from moving controls on the desk flow into all channels!  My Transport stays away, but the DA7 is using MMC, and the HUI select on surfaces has gone away.  It has MMC and a couple of other "generic" options, but it seems X1 doesn't want to hear from older formats.

I've spent hours attempting to adjust my DA7 set-up to see if I can get it away from the glitch, but it still spreads over all inputs.  And having to leave all my controllers patched in when in 8.5.3 they were seperate is not fun.  BTW, the DA7 goes thru the Firewire MIDI in / out, so it is not anywhere near my controllers physical in / outs.

FYI.  I just got the new Focusrite Sapphire 56 with the two Liquid inputs along with the 6 regular.  Very good sound upgrade for the price, and the channel strip modeling for the Neve's and SSL boards are really cool.  A great addition to the set-up along with ProChannel!
