Fire wire External Drive issue

Hi
I'm moving to Win 64 bit and have a dual-boot setup with my old XP on one and Win 7 on the other.
So far, all's good. Except I can't copy to or from my external audio drive via fire wire when I'm in Win 7.
In XP there's no problem.

My M.B. is an ASUS P5Q-pro and probably a little out-dated.
Any thoughts how to fix this.
Many thanks
FS

Ah ha - fixed. Change the host controller to 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy). Well, silly me!

The "legacy" driver is an issue with some Firewire audio interface units too, on Vista and Win 7.  Focusrite says that is needed for my Saffire Pro 40 unit.  I used the Legacy driver in Vista 64 bit but when I installed Windows 7 I forgot however the Saffire Pro 40 is running OK with the "native" Win 7 driver.

Others, on here, have reported they must use the Legacy driver with their Firewire gear.
