Envelope automation not working on one track????

Only 1 track does not work, all other tracks and buses are obedient.
 
Worked last week.  And now this one track refuses to follow the envelope.
 
Tried
 toggling automation on track and project
 disabling EQ
 cloning track
 disabling send to bus with Sonitus reverb
 opening in s7
 restarting project, sonar, computer
 saving to new name and opening in s8 and s7
 
Copied project to 2nd computer and same crap.
 
No control devices active.
 
Any way to recover, short of starting anew?

    Did you use the Envelope Offset Mode at all? If you did, even accidentally, it pretty much mucks up any volume automation on the track. From the Help file:

    "Any position that you set a fader to in Offset mode remains in effect when you switch back to Envelope mode. For example, if you set a volume fader to -INF while in Offset mode, switch to Envelope mode and drag the fader to its maximum level, you will not hear anything"

    Have you tried drag and dropping the clip(s) to another track?

    Thank you for your response.

    No offset mode, me thinks.

    I tried some more stuff.    Copied the clip and attempted to add a clip vope. No joy.

    Tried a track vope. OK.

    Since the vope only had about 20 nodes I copied the clip to a new track and created a track envelope, replicated the nodes and am much happier.

    But, I am still annoyed.

    My suggestion would have been to copy your clips to a new track and rebuild the envelope.

    Does/did the envelope actually read "Track Volume" when you hover the mouse over it or did it by any chance read "orphaned"?
