Got my constant squeal the organic way.  No amplifiers or stuff.  Just four years of marching band and another four years playing sax on the front row of a jazz big band.  The trumpets and trombones behind me were so loud they used to part the hair on the back of my head.

Well, maybe some of it came about from amplified music.  Like the first time I saw Blue Oyster Cult in a small club back in '88.  Never had seen them live before.  Kinda wondered why everyone around me started sticking plugs in their ears when the announcer said "Please Welcome......"  Talk about jet engine at take off.

    Sonar Platinum x64  Windows 10 x64
Couple of guitars, a bass, bunch of plugins, not enough time....

My tinnitus is from a combination of things--loud music, working for years in a loud computer manufacturing company and bouts with otitis when I was younger.

You can also get tinnitus from certain diseases as well as the drugs (antibiotics) used to cure them.

Same here. A pistol too close once. A few garage bands. An engine backfire not 1ft. from my head. Loud  stereo. I'm responsible for at least half of it.

A doctor once told me, "Getting old isn't for wimps."  He was right.

My wife's grandmother (my grandmother-in-law?) once advised me never to grow up to be an old lady.  I've tried to follow that sage advice.

Looks like it might be too late for me. If unclear by what I mean, ask Mooch.

Mine resembles engine noise so I think it was caused by two years of long-distance commuting (about 1000 miles a week)
