Kirk should sit down and take some slide lessons from Gilmour... I was gonna call it sacrelious but it's really just plain laughable.

After watching it, it looks to me they were just having some fun with it...I'm pretty sure with the number of years playing guitar ( I don't even know his name) that if he wanted, he could play it. But where's the shock value in doing that?

Yes Kirk could do better...but he and the bass player didn't even get the changes right...or together...on a very simple progression. Also...they were really sweaty. I bet it was kinda stuffy in there. I did like it though when Kirk "pointed" to the really pitiful bass player. Only then he played. Ouch!! Were they at a frat party? I remember playing and being that drunk at a frat party (Tennesee vs. Alabama...UT won) but we didn't try to play any Pink Floyd. But it was pretty stuffy. There was beer on the floor about 3 inches deep. I bet they were at a frat party. That would explain it.

So it's no longer cool to like Metallica? Whew, that's a load off. Rush is still OK, though, right? I have a hard time keeping up.

They should stick to covers of punk bands.

They looked like they were exchanging similar comments at the end.

Were they at a frat party? Not unless it was a very large fart house! Look at the audience camera pan at 1:32. Really don't know what the context of the segment is, it may have some relevance to that part of the show as a whole.

I only saw about 30 seconds of the intro before it cut off. That was enough for me.

Looks a bit like it was a spur of the moment jam. Unfortunately it came across as a borderline 'shred parody'. Heck, from how sweaty the guitarist is, it probably is later in the show and the roused fans loved it no matter.

You know that moment when an artist begins to believe their own press? You can almost see the ego radiating off of their surroundings. You know those moms who would whack their kids upside the head if someone got a little too full of themselves? I think I'd pay to watch Lars' mother take him down a few pegs. Metallica, I'm sorry to inform you, but you're just not as awesome as you might think. It's okay. You can take a few minutes to cry.
