Making your own drum loops

Hey, I have sonar x1 studio, and I really want to know how to create my own drum loops for electronic type stuff. How can I do this and what might be a good VST to use for doing this? Thanks!

    Hi crazy-

    Why not just stay with one of your threads rather than start 4 on basically the same topic? ;) That would make it easier for everyone to keep current and build on what others have already said.

    Alright, but do you know how to build your own drum loops and with what VST to use.  As you can tell, I'm new to this. Thanks.

    Go to KVR, search for drum machines, download + install
    Load drum machine
    Open Step Sequencer apply inspiration
    PHATBEATS!!!

    You can use the PRV and the Roland Groove Synth.

    I like the 808 patch.

    if your talking about midi loops than its real easy..you need to create a folder and put it in c/cakewalkcontent/midilibrary/(name your file)
    then any beat you like use the smart tool to slice it up and drag it in to win.explorer.
    once in there rename it and keep building.audio is very similar

    Battery 3 from Native Instruments is GREAT for making your own drum loops.

    You took the words right out of my mouth Susan! I thought I was losing my mind! All these threads looked very familiar! I guess Crazy wasn't getting instant gratification!
