Missing Plugins

Hi everyone. Been working on a project everyday for a month now using TruePiano Amber and Session Drummer 3. Yep, i'm slow...lol. Opened it up a few minutes ago and a window popped up and said "Missing Plug-ins". Referring to the TP Amber and SS3. Says to re-install. Do i need to re-install everything from the SPE 8.0 disc and then 8.5 again ? Or just those 2 missing plug-ins (vsti"s) from the SPE 8.5 download ? Thanx in advance for any help. BTW , have had no problems with anything in the Sonar world since i went WIN 7 64 bit last year so this really sucks. . . . .

I guess the first thing to do would be to Scan VST Plug-ins in Tools>Cakewalk Plug-In Manager. Have you done that yet?

Thanx Chappel. That did solve the problem. But when i tried to re-scan everything , the plug-in manager froze up. So i had to get to my task manager to end that task. I'll make this short. . . . .last night i downloaded that free Alysia frequency plugin and somehow it disassociated a few of my VSTi's. Have no idea how that is possible but as soon as i un-installed that plugin and successfully re-scanned all plugs, everything was fine. Thanx again and have a nice evening.

I don't know much about these kinds of things but if the plug-in affected your VSTi's is it possible that the plug-in was configured as a synth and this caused the problem?

Good thinking, but def not configured as a VSTi. Pretty sure it was just coincidence. Re-installed the plug-in last night and everything is fine now. Thanks again for the quick help.

    Solved. Re:Missing Plugins 2012/10/23 13:15:40 (permalink)
Update:  Found another thread.  Some older plugins are 32-bit and don't automatically install with the 64-bit version.  Solved.

I need to try this because I did not see all the plugins that Mr. G talks about in his Sonar X1 Power book.  I wanted to try Chorus(Mono) last night, but didn't see it in the list.

Originally I had X1 Studio, then upgraded to X1 Producer...perhaps that's why some don't display.
