Is Sonar suitable for audio applications outside of music?

If I were to, for example, edit audio for a podcast or radio show, would Sonar be adequate? Is it designed for all audio purposes or just music? Anyone have experience with this?

I've made a living for years using Sonar to produces spoken-word programmes, plays, podcasts, etc as well as music. I began with 2 Ampex 1 tracks so rest-assured: Sonar has more than you'll ever need.

I use Sonar to create Sound FX and design for local live theater. I also just finished doing effects layering and Foley work on a soon-to-be-released indie film.
