Any NBA fans here?
I'd like to see the Heat get into the finals, but they have their work cut out for them. In the west, I don't think the Thunder can beat the Mavericks....the Mav's are just too deep, more talented, and are more experienced in this battle. It still should be a pretty good series....

I'd like to see Miami win as well. I've always be a DWade fan. Looks like it might be a repeat of the '06 Finals.

Yeah, they'll need to have the "big 3" play well in each game.....otherwise, it's a lot of pressure for just 1 or 2 guys to get it done.

I checked with a time traveller and I'm sorry to disappoint you. The Bulls end up taking them out. Sorry. (Not a die-hard fan, ok I Am a fan of the Die Hard movies, but I have to support the Bulls on this one. It's a geographic proximity thing, you understand.)

(If I'm not mistaken) That "time traveler" was vaporized from the universe when Bapu played a wrong note after Mooch detuned the bass. Then again, this may very well be just some Bull that hit the fan and watched Miami in the finals from the comforts of their couch.

Karyn Is anyone going to explain wtf this thread is about? NBA? Sure!! It stands for: National Basketball Association and there are 4 teams currently in the semi-final stage. I suppose it's the equivalent of Cricket in UK....I actually watched the 2011 world cup (almost every game) that was televised recently.

Not to mention 'skittles' - only they call it 'bowling', and use a ball that it's impossible not to knock over at least 9.37529 pins with every time And their girly 'football' players have to play in a medieval suit of armour in case they chip a nail. And look at them nancy-boy wresrtlers - Mick McManus and Big Daddy would have made mincemeat out of 'em. And Ice Hockey - them weeds would struggle on grass against Worcester Ladies 3 rd team. And no shove-ha'penny, bar billiards and table football - remember t' Indoor League?

What really puzzled me is why they call it the "World Series" in baseball & "World Champions in basketball when only the US is participating? After winning the Olympics, that would be a legitimate title. Ok....I'll go back to my corner....

The obvious implication here is that sports are for the athletically inclined. Well, for those who are lethargic, recliner dwelling, flabby lumps of lard, such vigorous pursuits are just not feasible. Should we be denied the honor, wealth, and fame of winning an athletic competition merely because we lack the natural ability? That's Athleticist, and it's wrong. Besides, we still have Roller Derby. Now, that's a sport.

Is Golf considered a sport? I always thought it was game excelled by players with good technique and the use of concentration. For it to be considered a "sport", I'd suppose you'd need to be athletic or be in top physical shape.
